From Flash – November 22, 1963 series. Screenprint in colors on wove paper. Hand signed in ballpoint pen on verso. Published by Racolin Press, Inc., Briarcliff Manor. Printed by Aetna Silkscreen Products, Inc., New York. Frame size approx. 29.5 x 29.5 in. Artwork is in excellent condition. Certificate of authenticity included. Flash 35 is part of a portfolio of eleven different screenprints based on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The piece was named for all the _news flashî texts that were being broadcast at the time. All of the prints were based on campaign posters, mass-media photographs, and advertisements. The prints were presented next to Teletype text taken straight from news sources. The title Flash _ November 22, 1963 represents the date of the assassination and the constant news attention about the event. Flash 35 features President Kennedys face in two tones of red, creating an almost startling image of the President.
